Students hold SDGs at Nepal Forum

More than 150 students and professionals attended a leadership workshop and youth forum on sustainable development hosted by the Asia-Pacific Peace and Development Service Alliance (APPDSA) and Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Nepal in Kathmandu on October 7.

The forum highlighted youth service and volunteerism in accomplishing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), bringing together experts and professionals from local and global organizations to address quality education, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, peace, justice and strong institutions and partnership for goals.

“In order to encourage youth, several creative ways will be exercised leading to a competition ensuring practical measures for achieving sustainable development goals,” said GPF Nepal chairman Ram Panta.

Other executives attending the forum included representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Youth Council and the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology.
