Hon. Claudia Faustina Coari is a Congresswoman in the Peruvian Parliament. Growing up as a Christian, from a young age she started community organizing, promoting human rights and creating community networks targeting youth and adults. Her organizational experience with spirituality and political practice merged into a strong commitment to grassroots activities. She is currently the lead organizer for the Capesinas women and involved in GPF’s All-Lights Village Program. She is also a representative for the Indian indigenous women of Peru.
