H.E. Martín Erasto Torrijos served as President of Panama from 2004 to 2009. A leader of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), Torrijos is a member of the Inter-American Dialogue’s Board of Directors, the main U.S. center for policy analysis and communication on matters related to the Western Hemisphere. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Esquipulas Foundation for Central American Integration, as well as a member of the International Advisory Board of the Global Center for Development and Democracy.
