Dr. Sachio Nakato is a Professor in the College of International Relations and Vice Dean of the College of International Relations at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan.  His current research interests are international relations of Northeast Asia, U.S.-Japan relations, and North Korean foreign policy.  Professor Nakato received his Ph. D. from Ritsumeikan University, M. A. from Ritsumeikan/ American University, and B.A. from State University of New York at Oneonta.  Professor Nakato has been a visiting fellow at the Center for Asian Studies, American University, and the Graduate School of International Service, Sookmyung Women’s University.
