Universities in the United States go on spring break in April. Increasingly, volunteering has become a popular alternative to vacationing. From building levies in the Dominican Republic to expanding schools in Guatemala, these university students left a lasting impact that is equivalent to 2,500 service hours and $60,000 dollars.
