Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Philippines and Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation hosted the 2nd Safe Space Summit in the Philippines from March 24 to March 25 under the theme, “From Safe Spaces to Brave Spaces,” encouraging discourse in an unbiased, non-aggressive, and respectful environment where youth could expand their network while cultivating a culture of active participation.

Student leaders, young professionals, and leaders from civil society, educational institutions, and government gathered online for the 2022 Safe Spaces Summit. The summit featured a short film competition in which the youth demonstrated how safe spaces can be incorporated in various aspects of their lives. It also included a series of keynotes and panel discussions that allowed attendees to interact and learn from a diverse panel of experts.

The 2022 summit was sponsored by the Department of Education, Department of Education International Cooperation Office, Unilever, and ABS – CBN News Channel (ANC), GPF Philippines official media partner.
