Global Peace Foundation (GPF) will host the Global Peace Leadership Conference 2022 from December 1 to 3 in Clark Global City, Pampanga under the theme, “One Family Under God: A Vision for a World of Freedom and Peace.”
The event will gather thousands of Global Peace Advocates from all over the world to provide a platform for exchanging best practices and building multi-sector collaborations to promote long-term peace and development.
The Philippine national motto will be highlighted at the event: Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa (For God, People, Nature, and Country). The phrase has been seen as expressing a collection of four essential Filipino principles, each of which is linked to the others.
“It is exactly in times of uncertainty, that a clear vision is needed to provide solutions to the many vexing problems of our age,” Dr. Hyun Jin Preston Moon, Chairman of the Global Peace Foundation, shared in a speech at a previous conference.
The event features three major programs: the Service Learning Program, the Global Peace Leadership Conference, and the Global Peace Festival.
The Service-Learning Program focuses primarily on young people and addresses local issues in celebration of International Volunteers’ Day through simultaneous service project missions by women and the youth.
The Global Peace Leadership Conference is a high-level strategic event that aims to build a network of key leaders and address critical issues in Education, Women Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility, Religious Freedom, Peace & Security, and Media. The program highlights a revolutionary values-based approach to improving the economy, education, security, leadership at all levels of society, youth productivity, and women’s empowerment, as well as addressing pressing community development needs.
The Global Peace Festival inspires, motivates, and activates a global network of people to work together to realize the dream of One Family Under God. The famous K-Pop co-ed group K.A.R.D, P-Pop Girl Group BINI and the Filipino Autotelic will perform live and free of charge during the peace concert.
“We are deeply engaged in peace-building, especially in community development,” says GPF Philippines Executive Director Aldrin Nituma, “One example is our Service Learning Program, which focuses on young people and provides opportunities for experiential learning which can cultivate leadership and good character.”
The Global Peace Festival was first launched in the Philippines in 2007. It served as an avenue for thousands of peace-loving people who shared a common vision of “One family under God” to gather and celebrate peace and diversity.
The event was officially launched on November 23, 2022, at the Marriott Hotel in Clark, Pampanga, by media partners as well as community, private, and local government partners who support Global Peace Foundation’s initiatives in ensuring that every community has the opportunity to become better and more sustainable.
