The PeaceHub Campaign of Global Peace Foundation (GPF) India is dedicated to fostering grassroots peacebuilding through collaboration, understanding, and shared identity. By addressing identity-based conflicts and championing universal values like empathy, dialogue, and service, the campaign aims to empower individuals and communities. Through educational programs, community dialogues, and interreligious collaboration, the initiative creates safe spaces for mutual respect and understanding. Integrating service as a practical peacebuilding tool ensures that peace is not just an ideal but a lived reality within communities. As part of its outreach, introductory sessions were conducted in various universities and colleges across India, where students were introduced to the campaign’s vision and encouraged to participate in peacebuilding initiatives within their institutions and communities.

Govt HSS Bamhori Beeka in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh

The campaign at Govt HSS Bamhori Beeka in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, successfully engaged around 100 students and 25 teachers in meaningful discussions and community projects. Students identified critical community challenges, including waste management, social inequalities, and environmental concerns. They proposed actionable solutions and demonstrated leadership in designing and implementing projects. With strong support from teachers, the campaign empowered students to become proactive changemakers, connecting classroom learning with real-world issues. The event encouraged students to identify and address local challenges, fostered leadership and problem-solving skills, strengthened teacher-student collaboration in community engagement, and inspired innovative solutions for social and environmental concerns. Students highlighted key issues such as improper waste management, lack of clean drinking water, women’s safety concerns, and educational gaps. To address these challenges, they proposed initiatives like sanitation drives, awareness workshops on gender equality, skill-building programs for youth, and environmental campaigns supported by digital learning resources.

Strategic evaluation of the event showed strong participant engagement, with active discussions and feedback demonstrating the campaign’s impact. Sustainability will be ensured through follow-up mentorship, community involvement, and integration into school curricula. Moving forward, the plan includes forming student teams guided by teachers and community leaders, implementing projects with necessary resources and support, regularly tracking progress through reflection sessions, and showcasing completed projects to inspire further participation.
