Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Nigeria collaborated with community stakeholders in Kaduna state to host more than 8,000 people throughout the month of May as part of the beginning of a series of Peace Festivals celebrating “Unity in Diversity.”
The festivals are organized as part of GPF Nigeria’s One Family under God campaign, which gathers faith leaders from Nigeria’s diverse religious population to model cooperation and peaceful resolution within local communities.
Religious leader, Sarkin yamma Afaka Tanimu Magaji, attended the first Peace Festival held on May 20 in the Mando community and was fully confident that the festival will “no doubt increase the level of understanding and tolerance, thereby building trust among the diverse cultures and traditions in the community.”
