Newstrack reports: Nigerian spiritual leaders of both Muslim and Christian faiths convened in Kaduna for the “Capacity Building/Training of Trainers,” workshop to promote religious tolerance on January 29, 2016. Conference co-convener, Sheik Halliru Maraya, urged clerics of Kaduna and Nigeria to recognize the emergent necessity to work towards inter-religious efforts in response to reoccurring violent hatecrimes and riots.
