Christians and Muslims have more that unites them than divides observed the Emir of Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, Alhaji Jibrin Maigwari II during a courtesy visit by representatives of Global Peace Foundation – Nigeria.

Emir Maigwari encouraged Christians and Muslims to pursue sincere practice of their faiths to foster unity.  “I have observed that most Muslims and Christians say things without sincerity and not from their hearts,” said the Emir. “They fail to understand that God […] is more interested in what is sincere in their hearts than just lip service.”

The Emir showed support for Global Peace Foundation’s “One Family Under God Campaign,”  initiated in 2013 to provide tools for faith leaders and traditional rulers to foster interfaith cooperation as the foundation to peacebuilding and community development.
