Celebrating International Day of Women on Sunday March 8, Global Peace Women – Uruguay launched a campaign entitled “Women for World Peace.”
The Social Media Campaign focused on Facebook and Twitter, asking women around the world to upload video messages that “delivered symbolic hearts for world peace” during March, internationally recognized as Women’s Month.
GPW Uruguay on Facebook and @gpw_uruguay on Twitter were tagged on video messages to plug into participants’ networks of followers and friends.
The campaign was launched in partnership with the Bohemian Gallery and Museum of Contemporary Art in Montevideo, Uruguay, where Global Peace Women recorded the first videos on March 8.

Sonia Waisrub and the Secretary and Activist of Women Rights for the United Nations, Mrs. Blanca Mazal, who gave her message in English.

Teamwork Outcomes
It was a first-time experience for many in Global Peace Women – Uruguay. They recorded all videos thoroughly and uploaded them to different social media outlets by themselves. It took great love and effort to accomplish.
