The Project’s goal is to reach $10 thousand to provide two-week food rations for at-risk families.

The rapid transmission of the COVID-19 virus in Nepal has prompted the government to impose its second lockdown since the last week of April. While the lockdown is set to curb the outbreak of coronavirus cases, it has led to a spike in the number of people going hungry, especially those working in the informal sector.

After more than a month since the lockdown, the government does not yet have a mechanism in place to support daily wage workers and their families.

GPF Nepal’s Project Community Service seeks to raise $10 thousand to provide food rations to at-risk families.

To help the needy during these difficult times, Global Peace Foundation Nepal initiated “Project समुदाय सेवा (Community Service),” which aims to support daily wage workers and their families by providing them with food packages. Supporting those with less mobility, this project seeks to inspire families to help their own neighbors by spreading hope, love, and kindness, one family and one community at a time.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide 500 daily wage workers and their families with two-week food rations as soon as possible. To make this possible, we need your support. Your $20 can help a family by providing a two-week food ration.
