Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Malaysia and beauty company Laneige have partnered for the Waterful Sharing campaign since 2016 as part of a community-wide effort to provide clean drinking and bathing water to Malaysian villagers once plagued by water borne diseases.
The funds raised through Waterful Sharing allow volunteers from Laneige and GPF Malaysia to deliver portable water filtration systems. More cost-effective than piped water, each filter unit contains 50 liters of water that can be shared between three to four homes.
The ongoing campaign will continue building partnerships to provide filtration units to more villages, changing lives and improving the health and livelihood of rural communities across Malaysia.
