From September 26-October 1, Global Peace Foundation and partners hosted the Global Peace Women Leadership Exchange 2016 in Seoul Korea. Women from the Philippines, Japan and Korea convened to understand the importance of women in the family as the starting point of peace and social harmony and to develop concrete action steps for implementing transformative national campaigns on women’s empowerment through leadership opportunities in family and the greater society.
Special visits to the Demilitarized Zone that divides Korea also drew out the connection of Korean reunification and the world peace and continued the discussion on how women from the three countries can contribute to Korean reunification and Asia Peace building through supporting the ONE K Global Campaign.
