Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Philippines officially opened the three-day 2022 Global Peace Festival on December 1, 2022, in the province of Pampanga. The Asia Pacific festival, “One Family Under God: A Vision for a World of Freedom and Peace,” featured Service-Learning projects, a Global Peace Leadership Conference on regional issues of peace and security, and GPF’s signature festival, which highlights cultural celebration as a tool for peacebuilding and social cohesion.

The Day 1 Service-Learning Program, organized by Global Peace Women, included a series of service marathons such as the tree planting, school humanitarian projects, hospital visits, and a hospital groundbreaking ceremony.

The tree planting environmental service project was held in Sitio Haduan, Mabalacat, Pampanga in partnership with Mabalacat City College and Philippine Society of NSTP Educators and Implementers. Participating students and a foreign delegation planted over 100 seedlings in the far-flung area to fight for climate action.
