The Global Peace Youth Exchange (GPYE) is a leadership development program of Global Peace Youth, the youth division of the Global Peace Foundation, that provides multiple opportunities for young aspiring leaders to strengthen and discover inherent qualities within them through service, forums, dialogue, adventure program, cultural exchange, etc. The program seeks to underscore universal principles and values of leadership that transcend national, cultural and religious differences, while highlighting innovative approaches to peacebuilding and development.
Global Peace Youth Adventure Program
Aims to develop the leadership skills and potentials of young leaders through experiential learning while discovering the cosmic wonders of nature.
Cultural Expedition
Following its miraculous development over the last 50 years, Korea is now a modernized vibrant nation that still maintains its traditional culture. Seoul is home to many old historic sites like Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces, and places of traditional culture like Bukchon Hanok Village, Insa-dong, and Namdaemun Market.
Global Forum on the Role of the Republic of Korea in Development
Venue: Korean Council on Foreign Relations
The Forum will focus on highlighting the role of the Republic of Korea in global service and development, strengthening the contribution of youth engagement and volunteerism to enhance development and peace and scaling up successful programs and models involving youth and multilateral partners. Particular attention will be given to improving coordination among multi-sectors, building consensus and partnerships, and mobilizing resources in the Republic of Korea and internationally.
ONE K Concert
Venue: Seoul’s World Cup Stadium
One Dream One Korea will host a concert “One K” on October 9, at Seoul’s World Cup Stadium in Korea. The release of the new Korean Unification song, composed by Kim Hyung-suk, will be showcased as well. The Unification Song will engage 33 top Korean artists representing the 33 activists who comprised the core of the original March 1 (Independence) movement in 1919. The dream is an elevated perspective that engages both left and right and captures the imagination and energy of the younger generation.
