The European Interparliamentary Commission on Human Rights was established in 2018 at the Bundestag in Germany as a project of a working group on human rights and humanitarian aid. The commission is comprised of members of national parliaments across Europe, religious freedom experts, and international journalists. It has the status of a commission that puts forward initiatives and alternative concepts for resolving national and international conflicts. Its expertise is used in the political process at the interparliamentary level and the results influence the adoption of important policy decisions. The Global Peace Foundation is happy to serve as a representative of the United States for this commission, through which it focuses on addressing religious freedom issues throughout Europe.
