Volunteers Serve Orphans in India

In October of 2019, Global Peace Foundation (GPF) volunteers in India visited the Orphan and Senior Citizen center in Dehradun. They cleaned the center, helped take care of the senior citizens, and brought pen and notebooks to use to teach the orphan children math and writing. The volunteers voiced that it was great experience and were happy to bring joy to the seniors and the orphans at the center.

This simple yet powerful act of service is a reflection of a transformative movement that is uplifting people out of the historic inequalities as a result of caste-based discrimination. With the belief that we are all members of one human family, volunteers with GPF are bridging divides and supporting the disadvantaged to not only brighten their own future, but also contribute to raising up their communities and society.
