Global Peace Women Uruguay Forum Stresses Importance of the Extended Family for Social Cohesion

Women leaders representing academics, civic and public organizations and volunteer efforts participated in a forum organized by Global Peace Women Uruguay addressing the importance of the family in cultivating values that serve as the foundation for healthy socieities on September 3 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The forum entitled, “The Importance of the Extended Family in Transmitting Values,” featured Former First Lady of Uruguay, Maria Julia Pou de Lacalle, Journalist and TV Host, Carla Lorenzo, President of Global Peace Women Uruguay, Nibia Pizzo, and Vice-President of Global Peace Foundation Women’s Division, Dr. Soonok Kang. The forum was moderated by Dr. Mirtha Zunino.
