Volunteer service and community development are important components of sustainable peacebuilding. Global Peace Foundation engages community members and local organizations as assets and partners to find sustainable solutions to development challenges. Through workshops, training, enterprise development, and cross-cultural service initiatives, GPF is building vibrant communities, fostering self-reliance, and supporting entrepreneurial empowerment.
GPF’s ongoing, community-driven programs are operated mainly on the local and regional levels and work to address many of the underlying issues that have historically led to tensions and conflict. As part of the long-term, everyday work of peacebuilding, GPF aims to empower people to lead in exploring innovative approaches to meet local economic and environmental challenges.
