We would like to invite you to the screening of “Jun-Ai,” a Japan-China collaborative production film about hope and love in China amidst Japanese occupation during the dark time of WWII and eventual reconciliation. “Jun-Ai” took 8 years to produce and has been screened around the world for 8 years after, winning international film festival awards. Jun-Ai World Peace Foundation and Global Peace Foundation-Japan have partnered to share this movie to support the shared dream of cultivating world peace based on the vision of One World One Love One Family under God.
Background of “Jun-Ai”
“Jun-Ai” Film Production from 1999 to 2007, Screening from 2007 to 2015
The film takes place in the summer of 1945 at the end of a long World War II. During this time, most of the Japanese civilians who had gone to settle in China had to escape in the mountain forests and farming areas under life-or-death situations. Many Chinese farmers lived in the same areas. Most of them lost their precious family members at the hands of Japanese troops.
This film is not a war film, but a story of true love, featuring a person who greatly impacted the people around them, creating a positive light for people and their future.
The film took 8 years for the production and has been screened for another 8 years. The network through the screenings and exchanges has gone around the world.
The film received 8 awards in international film festivals such as Best Feature Film and Bridging Culture Awards in the Sedona International Film Festival and Angel Peace Achievement Celebration Award in the Monaco International Film Festival.
In London, UK, the international screenings took place at Princess Ann Theatre in 2010, House of Loads in 2011 and was invited by the British-Japanese Parliamentary Group in 2014.
The film version with 4 subtitles–Japanese, Chinese, English and Korean–was screened in Seoul, Korea in 2015.
NGO Jun-Ai World Peace Foundation
Jun-Ai Project is a social art project with a main objective of providing education to children in China and Japan. The Foundation also seeks to help people understand our common humanity by screening the film around the world.
Jun-Ai World Peace Foundation was established last year in 2014 to declare the public benefit of the project.

Invitation through “Pay it Forward”
The Film Project has initiated the Pay it Forward Program, where individuals can purchase tickets for others so that they may see the film at no cost and in turn they will puchase tickets for more people to see the film. Due to this unique method, the film has been able to be screened in many different locations.
Anyone can join the screenings on November 13, 2015 as they have been provided at no cost through the Pay it Forwardd Program. The donations for the future participants are appreciated and can be purchased at the reception.
