Director of Global Peace Foundation Kenya, Daniel Juma, was a guest on Kenya’s KTN News Life and Style segment on December 1st to discuss Global Peace Education initiatives: Leadership and Entrepreneurship Hubs (LEAP Hubs) and Character and Creativity (CCI) programs.

Sponsored by Google Kenya, GPF Kenya’s most recent campaign to address child safety online was officially launched by the Executive Director, Center for Mathematics Science and Technology in Africa (CEMASTEA) Mr. Stephen Njoroge at Ngara Girls High School in November 2015. Empowering youth is a major contributing factor to stabilizing the upcoming election to take place in 2017, fostering transparency and national cohesion. Programs like Leap Hubs provides students with an environment that fosters 21st century skills, including leadership, innovation, marketing, problem solving, and beyond.

Mr. Daniel Juma emphasized the unique track of the programs saying that if mentors insist on addressing students’ character, positive change will be seen through a decrease in the need for discipline, improvement in relationships within schools, and increased academic achievement.
